Lyublinskaya Metro Line

    Vestibule no. 2 of Maryina Roscha metro station

    in July 2010

    In 2010 the start-up complex of the central section of Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro line from Trubnaya to Maryina Roscha stations were completed and in June 2010 the complex was commissioned.

    Second start-up complex of the central section of Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro line (construction length — 2,83 km) includes two bored stations (Dostoyevskaya, Maryina Roscha), underground vestibules of the station facilities, escalator tunnels, bored running tunnels, bored junction chambers, station traction substations, water discharge units, ventilation units and auxiliary structures.

    In 2010 following main construction work items on the site of vestibule no. 2 of Maryina Roscha station were delivered:

    • Preparatory activities on the vestibule no. 2 site.
    • Diversion of utilities (in progress).
    • Installation of the start-up pit fencing of secant piles — 178 piles.
    • Installation of counterweight piles for the purpose of Lovat TBM launch — 6 piles.
    • Excavation and bracing of the start-up pit — 5,672 m³.
    • Installation of the assembly bed for Lovat TBM — 1,500 m³.

    Inclined escalator tunnel will be driven with Victoria TBM by Lovat — the shield that was used to excavate the first escalator tunnel at Maryina Roscha station. Currently the shield is undergoing maintenance by Metrostroy’s Mechanical Department and its installation for tunnel driving will begin shortly.
