Driving of the left-hand Myakinino tunnel completed
Today, on January 26, the “Claudia” Lovat Tunnel Boring Powered Complex (TBPC) of the subcontractor Tunnelling Unit No 6 completed driving of the left-hand running tunnel from the Myakinino station to the disassembly facility not far from Auchan. The TBPC started its 1.4 km long journey on July 31, 2008. The second, right-hand, tunnel is scheduled to be completed by August. This is the sixth tunnel of the Claudia shield. Earlier it was used to build the Butovskaya line and Phase One of the Mitino-Strogino line from the Krylatskoye Station to the Serebryany Bor tunnel. Myakininskaya will be the Metro’s first station outside Moscow.
