The Herrenknecht S-772 mechanized tunneling complex Inna began driving the left distillation tunnel to the Savelovskaya station of the Big Circle Line (BСL) of the Moscow Metro.

TBM Herrenknecht S-772 started in a unique round pit with a diameter of 31,5 meters and a depth of 45,9 meters near the Rigskaya trestle of the Third Transport Ring.

The complex will have to overcome 3,2 kilometers under five sections of the Moscow and October Railway, through the future stations Rzhevskaya and Sheremetyevo and finish before Savelovskaya. The underground route will pass at a depth of 30 to 70 meters along medium-strength limestone, solid clay, marl and loam.

At the same time, the specialists of JSC Mosmetrostroy are constructing a dismantling shield chamber with a diameter of 13,5 meters for the further exit of TBM near Savelovskaya.

The new work object for Inna will be the sixth in a row. Prior to this, the complex built distillation tunnels on the north-eastern section of the BCL between the Nizhegorodskaya and Aviamotornaya stations, from the exit chamber of Rubtsovskaya to Aviamotornaya, the left running tunnel on the northern stretch of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line from the exit ends of the line ends to Seligerskaya, as well as the right branch of the depot Likhobory in the direction of Okrujnaya.
