Specialists of Mosmetrostroy completed the construction of two distilleries from the station "Lefortovo" in the direction of "Aviamotornaya" of Big Ring Metro Line.
Tunneling mechanized complexes Herrenknecht S-771 and Herrenknecht S-290 with the names "Lyubov" and "Elena" passed about 1300 meters under the road network of the Lefortovo district, the existing uninhabited buildings and railway tracks of the Ryazan direction. In order to prevent the sinking or skewing of the rails during the passage of the shields under the tracks, special safety bags were used. For “Lyubov” and “Elena” this was the first such experience with which they successfully coped.
To date, in the northeastern section of Big Ring Metro Line, four TBMs are involved for the construction of distillation tunnels: at the final stage, the driving of two complexes from the exit chamber at site № 25.3 to “Nizhegorodskaya Street”, two more shields are moving towards the “Stromynka” station.
Recall that "Lefortovo" and "Aviamotornaya" are built in the pit by the open method at a depth of about 20 meters. They are designed columnar with platforms of the island type.
After their opening, the transport accessibility for residents of the Lefortovo, Nekrasovka and Kosino-Ukhtomsky districts will improve, and the Kalininskaya and Arbatko-Pokrovskaya lines of the Moscow Metro will also be unloaded.
