In May the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line will open Park Pobedy — the deepest station of the Moscow Metro

The depth of 80 metres is reached by an escalator which is 126 m long (740 steps). Cutting-edge technologies were used to engineer 3.5 km of running tunnels and 70 m of transformer traction substation with a vault of 9.5 m in diameter.

General Contractor: OAO Transinzhstroy. A major contribution was made by OAO Mosmetrostroy. The unique architectural finish of the station, entrance lobby and transfer passages was provided by Upravleniye Spetsialnykh Rabot Mosmetrostroya

December will see service start on the Butovskaya light metro line

There will be opened the stations of Ulitsa Starokachalovskaya, Ulitsa Skobelevskaya, Bulvar Admirala Ushakova, Ulitsa Gorchakova, Buninskaya Alleya. The light metro stations are open-air stations, roofed with a metal canopy. Most of the line is in the open. Special measures have been put in place to protect the public in the area against traffic noise. The 1.8-km underground section was engineered by tunnelling.
